At Rees & Company we are free thinkers. So, for Calrec’s ‘More’ campaign, we sourced a series of witty and unusual images to communicate the key features of the Calrec Bluefin signal processor - superior capacity, optimum performance and excellent value - and then we reproduced them across all the Bluefin literature, to really get the message through.
The shining star of broadcast consoles demands to be noticed. That’s why in this new brochure for Apollo, launching a new generation of audio mixing consoles, we took a lighter, brighter approach, to reflect the key characteristics of the product. We art-directed astounding technical product photography and used a clean, simple typographic layout to show Apollo as it should be seen - in the spotlight.
Rees & Company were briefed to create a logo for Apollo, Calrec’s new sound mixing console. The finished solar image cleverly reflects the central role of sound in Calrec products, by incorporating soundbars into the image, whilst simultaneously developing the original Calrec logo, which also features soundbars. And all with an ingenious nod to the products’ namesake, the Greek god of the sun. Dazzling!
Question: What’s the point of a newsletter if nobody reads it? Answer: None! With this in mind, Rees & Company set out to refresh the image of Calrec’s biannual newsletter, Soundwaves, with pictures that really pop and funky graphics and layout which reflect the company’s modern attitude to technology.
Working within brand guidelines, we developed a series of advertisements to communicate Honeywell Process Solutions messages to their various process industry customer segments. We carefully selected striking images that reflect both cultural and geographical variations and the different industry sectors.
A key document for all Honeywell Users' Group Conferences, the agenda handbook contains important information about each Conference including timetables, session descriptions, speaker information and biographies alongside demo room and location maps. Each year since 2006 we've developed a theme and ensured that these handbooks are not only stylish, but also clearly laid out and easy to navigate.
The dramatic photography sourced by Rees & Company for this corporate calendar for Honeywell Process Solutions customers illustrates the variety of industry segments served – from refining, chemicals and oil & Gas, to pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper. An elegant design that provides a welcome addition to any desktop!
Rees & Company are briefed on an on-going basis to produce literature such as data sheets, product materials, newsletters, invitations and catalogues for Honeywell Process Solutions. We make sure that all design elements of each piece share a common approach and are created within the corporate guidelines. Colour photography emphasises the key message behind each piece and the internal layouts feature spectacular industry-specific and abstract photography.
When the social impact consultancy Skating Panda asked us to work alongside them on the design of a toolkit for the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, we were extremely honoured.
The toolkit provides useful practical guidance for countries wishing to introduce screening for syphilis using rapid diagnostic tests.
Given its global readership, we wanted to create something accessible, stylish and appealing as well as informative. To do so, we used a series of beautiful, serene graphics to breathe life into the facts and figures and leverage the content contained within the toolkit to best effect, because after all, looks do matter!
Each of the business cards we designed for Made Myself feature one of the distinctive utensils logos against a background of one of the gorgeous homely colours we’ve used across the brand.
The striking images on the front of the postcards we created for Made Myself are wittily leveraged by a few choice words that relate to the main ingredient in each meal. The Cotswold colours maintain brand continuity and on the back, a succinct and honest introduction to the Made Myself philosophy ensures that they really are something to write home about!
Snell commissioned Rees & Company to produce a brochure for launch at a tradeshow, to be used subsequently as a promotional corporate piece. We created a document that is attention-grabbing, unique and innovative, providing serious competition for other top players at a significant industry event. The brochure is informative without being overly technical, and we used a clear, user-friendly layout and a variety of graphics that are both appropriate and appealing.
Snell briefed Rees & Company to create a series of individual product brochures. The end results create a concise and dynamic introduction to their diverse range of products. We used a mix of striking photography, dynamic graphics and diagrams to demonstrate use, accompanied by simple yet comprehensive product descriptions. As with all of Rees & Company's work for Snell, the newly-created logo was visible throughout.
The inner voice of Snell, IS News brings employees the latest on developments in and around company. A far cry from the average dull newsletter, IS News is lively and appealing, encouraging contributions and engaging with everyone on every level! Presented in Rees & Company’s characteristically fresh style, the fonts, graphics and layout seamlessly combine to create a newsletter brimming with enthusiasm!
Handbooks can be overwhelming, and often boring too! Not so with Rees & Company’s IS Handbook design – with an accessible format, short, snappy copy and stunning graphics that leverage the words, the handbook explains what Snell can do, and presents common problems alongside Snell’s Intelligent Solutions. Simple yet brilliant.
Technology can be confusing, and with all the options on the market, it can be hard to make the right decision. With our ad campaign for Snell, we wanted to clear the fog and show that there’s no need to be bamboozled! We combined bold, witty graphics and strong words and typography to create an ad that is both funny and functional, showing the customer that Snell really is the only choice.
Everybody likes to be in the loop, and being savvy gets you ahead in business. So, Rees & Company devised a clever ad campaign using salient facts about Snell to communicate the versatility and range of their products and services. The concept is simple – as most of the best things are - but cool graphics which leverage the ingenious word formula provide a template that can be adapted to any Snell product, and still be relevant, on-brand and eye-catching.
When two of the biggest names in broadcasting decided to combine, they needed a compelling new brand identity, with a livelier, more solutions-based approach. Rees & Company were made responsible for all design aspects of the merger. We decided on a series of powerful images taken from nature for the announcement literature, to communicate the harmonious yet powerful creation of a new force to be reckoned with in the broadcasting world. Graphics such as the two clouds uniting, or the converging roads, echo the nature of the merger itself; the coming together of two separate entities to create one integrated, highly-functional whole. This message was further enhanced and enforced by the slick, striking launch video and a range of brochures for internal and external audiences which helped to see the new company in with a bang and show potential clients and competitors alike that they mean business! Lo and behold... Snell was born!
The Technicolor brochure was designed to exhibit and promote the range of services and products offered by Technicolor Creative Services to potential clients or customers – and visually, it doesn’t disappoint. We used a range of product and location photographs which focus on bright colours and lights, and the effect is truly captivating!
We created an innovative, intriguing invitation with a striking yet simple design for the official launch of Technicolor Creative Services in the UK – a fold-out flyer composed of blocks of each colour featured on the Technicolor film reel logo, foil blocked and contained in a silver wrapper – and the finished result looked good enough to eat! The text on the invitation was in the form of an equation, summarising the superior services and expertise of Technicolor in very few words, leaving details about the event itself veiled in mystery, and provoking a buzz of anticipation.
We believe that business cards should be small but perfectly formed. After all, they are often the very first impression a prospective client will get of a company. With this in mind, we selected bold, vibrant colours for the cards we designed for Wall Street Communications, with the newly refreshed brand logo as the central focus. As well as co-ordinating with the website, the cards also reflect the company’s fast-paced, energetic approach to communications.
This booklet exposes the shocking amount of food that is wasted in Scotland every year – and how much this is worth in cold, hard cash! Rees & Company focused the design on appealing images of food combined with pull-out facts and figures to back up the text. The result is a succinct and fascinating summary of food waste, and what’s being done by WRAP (Waste Resource Action Programme) to combat it.
Targeting users of compost across a range of agricultural industries, these handy guides give practical advice on making waste work for you, outlining the optimum uses of quality compost to benefit crops and boost profit, whilst encouraging reuse of materials which would otherwise be discarded as waste. We used our creative flair to design a series of documents which are not only exciting to look at, but also accessible. Practical information is logically organised alongside some rather tasty photographs of the kind of crops that quality compost can help nurture. Yum!
WRAP’s Impact Review is the company’s best chance to showcase the concrete facts and figures that support their green ideology. With our previous experience of working with environment-focused organisations, Rees & Company were the perfect choice to design a dynamic document with an appealing and manageable format, supported - as ever - by dazzling images which underline the overarching ideas addressed in the text.
This leaflet targets recycling on an individual and community level, introducing young and old alike to its many benefits. The striking images and pull-out quotes expertly chosen by Rees & Company cleverly highlight WRAP’s commitment to support local councils on the path to a greener community, detailing the advice and services WRAP can provide.
Like WRAP, Rees & Company are committed to promoting a better environment. That’s why they chose us once again, to create a series of guides based around specific materials to boost industry, helping to maximise profit and minimise environmental damage. We used clear presentation alongside powerful images to reinforce the key points in the text. WRAP’s mission statement in the Waste Protocols Project is to reduce business costs, increase sales and benefit the environment, and the combined knowledge provided by experts from WRAP, the Environment Agency and industry – brought to life (and made easier to digest!) by our signature innovative design – results in a document which can provide real help to industry users and suppliers in re-using waste.
